7-Day Golf Road Trip: Bas-Saint-Laurent & Gaspésie

This seven-day road trip traces the lower St. Lawrence from the Rimouski cluster east through Métis-sur-Mer and Matane, then swings inland to Amqui before looping back to Carleton-sur-Mer on the Baie des Chaleurs. Day 2

Stay based in Rimouski and play Golf Des Saules, an 18-hole par-71 parkland, in the morning. A 9 a.m. tee time keeps the afternoon free to explore the riverfront. Golfers who want more holes can investigate Les Saules Golf Course, also par 71 and parkland, located in the same city — a useful backup if the first tee is busy. Day 3

This morning belongs to Bic sur Mer, a resort par-72 layout on the shores near Rimouski with the characteristic St. Lawrence backdrop. Day 4

Play Matane, a Scott Watson–designed par-71 parkland, starting mid-morning. The course sits in the city itself, making the transition from hotel to first tee straightforward. After the round, the afternoon is open for a drive along the Gaspé coast or rest before the inland leg. Remain at Riôtel Matane for a second night to avoid unnecessary bag-loading after a full day of golf.

Day 6

Head inland on Route 132 to Amqui for a round at Revermont, a Marcel Notz–designed par-72 parkland that offers a different character from the coastal tracks. A morning tee time around 9 a.m. works well before the return drive west toward Carleton-sur-Mer. Check in to Manoir Belle Plage on the Baie des Chaleurs for a distinctive overnight. Dinner at Le Naufrageur – Microbrasserie & Pub in Carleton-sur-Mer pairs well with a long day on the road and course.

Day 7

Close the trip with a morning round at Golf Carleton-Sur-Mer, a par-71 layout overlooking the Baie des Chaleurs that serves as a fitting coastal finish. Tee off at 8 a.m. to complete 18 holes before a midday departure west.
