About this course

Club de Golf Revermont sits less than two kilometres from the centre of Amqui, in Quebec's Matapédia Valley, making it one of the more accessible regional courses in the lower St. Lawrence area. Designed by Marcel Notz and opened in 1968, the 18-hole, par-72 layout stretches 6,402 yards through parkland terrain defined by the Matapédia River — a renowned Atlantic salmon river — which bisects the property.

The course's two nines offer meaningfully different characters. The varied relief between the front and back halves keeps the round from feeling repetitive, and the combination of lakes, sand bunkers, and mature trees demands a range of shot shapes across the round. The river itself comes into play as both a visual and strategic element, adding consequence to several holes without tipping the course into unfair difficulty.

At 6,402 yards from the tips, Revermont presents a length that rewards accurate ball-striking over raw power — a layout that experienced players can work through thoughtfully while remaining approachable for mid-handicappers making their way through the region. The parkland setting and natural surroundings give the round a scenic quality that complements the valley's broader appeal as a destination for outdoor travel.
