7-Day Golf Road Trip: Québec & Chaudière-Appalaches

The Québec & Chaudière-Appalaches trail strings together fourteen courses across a compact, drivable region anchored by Québec City and the agricultural heartland to its south. Over seven days, the route arcs from the capital's parkland and links layouts south through the Beauce corridor and Thetford Mines, then loops back north along the St. Lawrence shore. Golfers cover varied terrain — river valleys, rolling farmland, and resort-style tracks — without a single brutal travel day. The region rewards those who linger over post-round meals and local microbreweries.

Day 1

Fly or drive into Québec City and settle in before an afternoon round at Club de golf Lorette, an 18-hole, par-72 parkland layout inside the city limits designed by Yannick Pilon. A mid-afternoon tee time keeps traffic manageable and leaves energy for the evening. Cross the river to Lévis and check in at Quality Inn & Suites Lévis, which positions the trip for a southbound push starting tomorrow. For dinner, Au Grain de Folie Faim Bistro in Lévis offers a short and approachable menu worth the stop.

Day 2

Start the morning at Golf De l'Auberivière, an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course in Lévis, aiming for a mid-morning tee time. The layout is close to the hotel, so there is no scramble. After the round, drive south toward Sainte-Marie and play Club de Golf Sainte-Marie, a par-72 parkland track well suited to a relaxed late-afternoon loop. Day 3

Head southeast to Beauceville for a morning round at Golf Beauceville, an 18-hole, par-72 Graham Cooke design set along the Chaudière River valley. Book a tee time as early as conditions allow. After the round, check in at La Cache du Golf in Beauceville — the on-site or adjacent lodging keeps the afternoon simple. This is a good day to walk the historic town centre along the river before dinner, as Beauceville has a compact, walkable main street worth exploring on foot.

Day 4

Drive west to Thetford Mines for a full day anchored by Club de Golf et Curling Thetford, an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course with design work by Graham Cooke (2011) and Yannick Pilon (2017). The course merits a morning start to allow time for a second look at any standout holes. Check in at either Hôtel du Domaine (Ascend Collection) or Comfort Inn Thetford Mines, both in town. La Porte d'À Côté – Microbrasserie & Restaurant in Thetford Mines is the clear dinner choice for local craft beer alongside a proper meal.

Day 5

From Thetford Mines, drive north to Adstock for a morning round at Club de Golf du Mont Adstock, an 18-hole, par-71 parkland course. Afterward, continue northwest to Saint-Ferdinand and check in at Manoir du Lac William, a lakeside property that offers a quieter, restorative evening after back-to-back heavy golf days. The Manoir's lakeside setting provides a natural break in the itinerary. This is a lighter travel day by design, leaving legs fresh for the push back toward the capital corridor.

Day 6

Return to the Chaudière-Appalaches lowlands for a productive double. Begin at Club de golf Bellechasse in Saint-Damien-de-Buckland, an 18-hole, par-72 Marcel Notz-designed parkland layout, with an early tee time. In the afternoon, drive east to Dorchester in Frampton, a par-71 Graham Cooke and Darrell Huxham collaboration. Return to Lévis for the night — both Quality Inn & Suites Lévis and Comfort Inn & Suites Saint-Nicolas (Lévis) work. Le Corsaire – Microbrasserie Pirate or Bistro Évolution et Traiteur serve well as a final proper dinner.

Day 7

The closing day offers a choice of departure routes. Golfers flying out of Québec City with morning time to spare can fit in a round at Golf de la Faune, an 18-hole, par-72 links-style course in the city — the only true links layout on the trail and a distinctive final note. Those with more time before a flight can extend northeast to Donnacona and play Donnacona, a compact par-35 parkland track. Both are close to Québec City. Drop equipment at the rental or hotel, then head to the airport or highway for departure.
