Parkland Courses in Cantons-de-l'Est

Five parkland courses define the Cantons-de-l'Est golf trail, threading through the rolling hills and forested valleys of Quebec's Eastern Townships between Waterloo in the northwest and Mont-Orford in the heart of the region. All five layouts are 18-hole tracks, ranging from the tighter 6,017-yard Club de golf Mont-Orford — set against the backdrop of Orford National Park — to the more demanding 6,883-yard Golf Waterloo near the region's western gateway. Two of the five courses were designed by Howard Watson: Club de Golf Milby in Sherbrooke (6,712 yd, par 73) and Golf Val-des-Sources in Asbestos (6,871 yd, par 72), giving back-to-back Watson designs a natural pairing for a single-day road trip. Sherbrooke anchors the trail as a practical base, with Milby and Golf et Académie Longchamp both located within the city. Golfers seeking a shorter, scenery-driven round tend to gravitate toward Mont-Orford, while those prioritizing yardage will find Val-des-Sources and Golf Waterloo the stiffer tests. The five venues sit within roughly an hour's drive of one another, making a multi-round itinerary across the trail realistic over a long weekend.
