Lac Etchemin

Club de golf Lac-Etchemin is an 18-hole public parkland course located in Lac-Etchemin, Quebec, within the Chaudière-Appalaches region. Originally opened with nine holes in 1971, the course expanded to its current 18-hole layout in 1991, reaching a par of 71 over 6,189 yards.

The layout is defined by a dense network of hazards that keeps the round consistently engaging. Thirteen water hazards thread through the property, and 45 sand traps are distributed across the course, meaning errant shots are rarely consequence-free. The parkland setting softens the visual challenge, but the combination of water and bunkers demands accurate ball-striking throughout the round.

At 6,189 yards from the tips, Lac-Etchemin sits at a length that is manageable for mid- and high-handicap golfers while still offering genuine tests for stronger players navigating the hazard-heavy design. The public access makes it a practical stop for road-trippers moving through the Chaudière-Appalaches corridor south of Quebec City.
