Fort-Prével Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 resort course measuring 6,354 yards, situated on the Gaspésie Peninsula in Quebec. The course is built directly on the site of Second World War fortifications, and that history is woven into the layout in ways that go beyond scenery. Opened in 1958, the club has operated for decades as a destination unto itself, with on-site accommodations and dining available to guests.

The course plays across terrain shaped by its wartime past, and the routing takes full advantage of the coastal setting, with sea views available from multiple points on the property. The standout moment arrives at the 11th hole, named Le coup de canon, which is played from atop the old fortifications. The elevated tee position gives the hole a dramatic character that is largely unavailable anywhere else in Canadian golf — the concrete remnants of the battery below add a historical weight that no amount of manicured landscaping could replicate.

At 6,354 yards from the back tees, Fort-Prével is not designed to punish distance. The layout suits mid- and high-handicap players well, though the combination of coastal breezes and the uneven terrain inherited from the fortifications adds enough variety to keep better players engaged. The par-72 card gives the course a relaxed rhythm overall.

The surrounding region — positioned between Gaspé and Percé — is one of the more scenic stretches of Quebec's lower St. Lawrence coastline, and Fort-Prével makes a natural base for golfers exploring the peninsula.
