Club de Golf Hemmingford

Club de Golf Hemmingford sits in a rural, wooded corner of Quebec's Montérégie region, just a short drive from the Canada–United States border. The club operates two distinct 18-hole courses: the private Village course and the public Frontière course, making it one of the more substantial golf facilities in the area. The club's roots go back to 1968, giving it more than five decades of history on this stretch of southern Quebec farmland and forest.

The public Frontière course plays to a par 72 over 6,655 yards of parkland terrain. The layout incorporates water hazards and sand traps throughout, rewarding accurate ball-striking and thoughtful course management over raw power. The parkland setting — with mature trees framing most holes — keeps the round visually engaging and provides a natural challenge for players who miss fairways. The clubhouse, a central gathering point for both courses, underwent a complete renovation in 2019–2020, giving visitors a refreshed facility to return to after their round.

The Frontière course is well suited to a broad range of golfers. At 6,655 yards from the tips it presents a genuine test for lower-handicap players, while the parkland layout and defined fairways keep the experience manageable for mid- and high-handicappers. Hemmingford itself is a quiet rural town, and the surrounding Montérégie countryside — rolling fields, apple orchards, and the Adirondacks visible to the south on clear days — gives the area a relaxed, unhurried character that extends to a day on the course.
