One of the largest, longest-running pow wows in northeastern North America.
Held every year on the August Civic Holiday weekend at Thunderbird Park in Wikwemikong, this festival has been running since 1961 and is revered as one of the largest pow wows in northeastern North America. Visitors experience champion Anishinaabe dance competitions, drumming, Indigenous arts and crafts, traditional cuisine, and a cultural pavilion with immersive teachings.
