Manitoulin Island's beloved annual homecoming festival in Little Current since 1967.
Hosted by the Little Current Lions Club every August Civic Holiday weekend, Haweater Weekend is Manitoulin Island's biggest community festival, drawing thousands of visitors. Events span several days across downtown Little Current and include a parade, live music, classic car show, fishing derby, soapbox derby, beer garden, and a spectacular fireworks finale. Originally a homecoming weekend, it has grown into a major tourist draw celebrating the island's culture and local businesses.
