Royal Niagara Golf Club: Iron Bridge Course

The Iron Bridge Course is one of three 9-hole layouts at Royal Niagara Golf Club, a 27-hole parkland facility in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Designed by Ted Baker and opened in 1999, the course sits in a distinctive natural corridor bounded by the Niagara Escarpment, the Bruce Trail, and the Welland Canal — one of the more striking settings available to golfers in the region.

At 3,511 yards and playing to a par of 36, the Iron Bridge Course opens with a memorable first hole that crosses the Welland Canal via a substantial iron bridge, immediately establishing the waterway as a recurring presence throughout the round. Deep bunkers and undulating greens demand careful course management, and stretches of the layout running directly alongside the canal add both visual character and strategic consequence.
