Royal Niagara Golf Club: Escarpment Course

Royal Niagara Golf Club's Escarpment Course is one of three 9-hole layouts at the club in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Designed by Ted Baker, this par-36 track stretches 3,533 yards and sits in a geographically striking corridor between the Niagara Escarpment, the Bruce Trail, and the Welland Canal.

The course is built to championship standards, with sculpted fairways, undulating greens, and bunkering throughout. The terrain shaped by the Escarpment gives the layout a natural character that distinguishes it from flatter resort tracks in the region. The sixth hole has been singled out as the most picturesque on the course, a distinction that likely owes much to its position within the broader Escarpment landscape.

At 3,533 yards over nine holes, the Escarpment Course is a substantial layout — long enough to reward accurate ball-striking while remaining accessible to a wide range of golfers.
