This three-day loop suits golfers looking for unhurried parkland rounds with Lake Huron sunsets as a backdrop, anchored in Goderich before moving north to Kincardine — a drive of roughly 45 minutes between the two towns. The routing works well for a long weekend, with two distinct overnight bases and three solid courses spread across the days.

Day 1

Arrive in Goderich by early afternoon and get oriented around the famous octagonal town square before heading to Goderich Sunset Golf Club. Designed by Fred Hull, this 18-hole, par-70 parkland layout in Ashfield–Colborne–Wawanosh earns its name — a late-afternoon tee time puts golfers on course as the light off Lake Huron begins to shift. The par-70 format keeps the round moving at a comfortable pace, so a 3:00 or 4:00 p.m. start is entirely workable on a summer evening.

After the round, check into Benmiller Inn & Spa in Goderich, a natural choice for golfers who want a quieter retreat after 18 holes.
