The Legends Course at Lionhead Golf & Country Club sits on 520 acres in Brampton, Ontario, roughly an hour from Toronto. Designed by Ted Baker and opened in 1990, it is an 18-hole, par-72 championship layout stretching to 7,402 yards from the back tees — a distance that places it firmly in the serious end of the Greater Toronto Area's public golf spectrum.

The Credit River is the defining natural feature here, threading through the property and coming into play on numerous holes. Ted Baker worked the terrain's rolling hills, wetlands, and wooded ravines into a design that rewards accuracy over power. Fairways are tight and tree-lined, greens are small and contoured, and deep bunkers guard landing zones and putting surfaces throughout. The opening hole sets the tone immediately: the 1st, a 425-yard par-4, plays directly over the Credit River to an elevated green framed by four bunkers — a demanding start that signals what the next 17 holes will require.

The Legends Course suits low-to-mid handicappers who are comfortable shaping shots in confined corridors and managing their game around firm, undulating greens. Higher-handicap players can still enjoy the scenery and variety of the terrain, though the layout's length and bunkering will test patience on a bad ball-striking day. Those who prefer wide-open, forgiving designs may find the Legends' tighter corridors less accommodating.
