Bluenose Golf Club has been a fixture on Lunenburg's clifftops since 1933, making it one of Nova Scotia's longest-operating public courses. Lunenburg itself is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the course sits above the town's celebrated harbour, giving it a setting that few nine-holers anywhere can match.

The layout plays to 3,000 yards over nine holes at par 35, with a links character that suits the exposed coastal terrain. The ground rolls and tilts considerably — the existing description of the course as hilly is well-earned — and the elevation shifts bring the harbour and the town's colourful Georgian streetscape into view from multiple points on the round. Wind off the Atlantic is a constant factor, effectively lengthening the course beyond what the yardage alone suggests.

At CAD 40–55 in green fees, Bluenose represents an accessible entry point into Nova Scotia's golf scene.
