Fox Harb'r Resort

Fox Harb'r Resort sits on the shores of the Northumberland Strait in Wallace, Nova Scotia, offering one of Atlantic Canada's most distinctive resort golf experiences. The original championship course was designed by Graham Cooke and opened in 2000, stretching to 7,253 yards from the tips at a par 72.

The layout shifts character as the round progresses. The front nine plays through parkland terrain, while the back nine transitions to links-style holes running along the Northumberland Strait coastline. That shift is most pronounced at the par-3 16th, a 171-yard hole played directly along the water's edge — one of the more visually striking short holes in the Maritimes. Wind off the strait is a constant factor on the back nine, and club selection tends to be more demanding than the yardage alone suggests.

Beginning in the 2026 season, Fox Harb'r will introduce a new 18-hole layout designed by Doug Carrick and Tom McBroom as part of a broader multi-year expansion. That course will pair a heathland-style nine with a links-style nine, giving the resort two distinct championship layouts to offer guests.

The resort operates at a five-star level, positioning Fox Harb'r toward golfers seeking a full destination experience rather than a day-trip round. Wallace is a small community on Nova Scotia's north shore, roughly equidistant from Amherst and Pictou, making it a natural anchor for a longer Nova Scotia golf trip that might include the courses of the Northumberland Shore corridor.
