Lakeside Golf & Country Club sits close to downtown Moncton, New Brunswick, and has been in operation since 1925. At 5,770 yards from the tips with a par of 70, the parkland layout is one of the longer-standing courses in the region, shaped over the decades by contributions from Denny Powers, who constructed the back nine, and architect Graham Cooke, who later redesigned the 13th and 14th holes.

The course splits neatly into two distinct personalities. The front nine plays across open, relatively spacious fairways where errant shots have room to breathe. The back nine tightens considerably — tree-lined corridors narrow the target, and water hazards come into play on five of the nine holes, demanding more precise ball-striking and thoughtful club selection. The terrain throughout is relatively flat, making Lakeside a practical choice for walkers who prefer to carry or pull a bag rather than rely on a cart.

At under 6,000 yards, the course is accessible to mid- and high-handicap players, though the water on the back nine gives low-handicappers something worth respecting. The compact yardage also makes it a reasonable option for golfers looking to fit in a round without committing to a full half-day on a longer track. Its proximity to downtown Moncton means it pairs easily with a visit to the city itself, which sits at the hub of several major highways through southeastern New Brunswick.
