Purcell Golf Course

Purcell Golf Course sits in Kimberley, British Columbia, in the heart of the Kootenay Rockies. One of the oldest courses in the province, it dates to 1924 — beginning as a modest six-hole layout before expanding to its current 18-hole configuration by 1983. Today it plays as a par-71 parkland course measuring 6,413 yards, redesigned under Les Furber Design.

The course winds through a mountain setting defined by towering Ponderosa pines and undulating greens. Elevation changes are a consistent factor, shaping shot selection throughout the round. The 12th hole, a par-4, offers a clear example of what the terrain delivers: an elevated fairway opens up sweeping views of the St. Mary River valley, rewarding players who position their tee shot well.
