Stony Plain Golf Course

Stony Plain Golf Course is a municipally owned, par-72 parkland layout stretching 6,779 yards in Stony Plain, Alberta, roughly 40 kilometres west of Edmonton. Designed by Norman H. Woods and opened in 1983, the course has been a cornerstone of golf in the Parkland County region for over four decades.

The layout plays as a full 18-hole championship track, offering enough length to test mid-to-low handicappers while remaining accessible to recreational golfers. As a parkland design, tree-lined corridors and maintained turf define the experience — the kind of course where ball-striking accuracy off the tee matters as much as distance.
